Hallowkeene 2015 Announced at Final Buzz’s Big Gay Dance Party

HALLOWKEENE

Hallowkeene 2014

It’s BAAAAACK!  This past weekend on-stage at Buzz’s Big Gay Dance Party, Derrick J and Ian Freeman announced Hallowkeene as a spiritual successor to Buzz’s party which ended this year in an amazing, awesome finale on Friday night at Porcfest.

Last year was Hallowkeene‘s first, experimental year.  We had dozens attend!  It was a blast, raising more than $500 for Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht’s defense fund.

This year’s event promises to be even better, with a new venue, running later, until 1:30am.  Attendance will be restricted to Keenevention attendees and their guest.  Tickets for Keenevention are just $50 for the whole weekend, but go up to $60 or BTC in July (tomorrow), so lock in your earlybird price now!

Here’s a facebook event for Keenevention and Hallowkeene.

Rewrite of 101 Reasons Leaves Room for Grindhouse Double Feature

101ReasonsUPDATE: Due to a very recent rewrite of 101 Reasons: Liberty Lives in New Hampshire, the new shortened length will allow us to turn this Saturday morning’s 9am event at Keene Cinemas into a Grindhouse double feature. First up will be the Film Fest Edition of Derrick J’s Victimless Crime Spree, never before seen in theaters. Following that, a preview cut of 101 Reasons will be shown publicly for the first time. Then the Q&A session with the producers at the Best Western, as scheduled. Looking forward to seeing you!

Here’s a facebook event.

HALLOWKEENE Costume Party to Benefit Ross Ulbricht (Now on Nov 1st!)

HallowKeeneJoin Derrick J and dozens of liberty-loving folk for the first-ever HALLOWKEENE Costume Dance Party on November 1st from 9pm through Midnight at the Best Western Sovereign Hotel ballroom! This is a costume dance party and there will be three prizes for the top three costumes!  You can indicate you’re coming via this facebook event.

More importantly, this event is a fundraiser for Ross Ulbricht. He’s been accused of running the Silk Road black market website, and he needs your help to avoid life in prison. Whether or not you attend the party, you can give to Ross’ legal campaign here.

If you don’t have your Keenvention badge with you, please have at least $10 (or BTC) to donate to Ross at the door of HALLOWKEENE to get entry to the party. See you on Saturday, 11/1 from 9p-Mid. Boo!
