Liberty activist Chris Rietmann has made major news twice this year for first repealing all gun regulations in Alstead, where he serves as selectman. Then a couple of weeks ago, he made further headlines for leading the effort to provide armed guards outside the Keene military recruiting center – a move which was controversial among the liberty community.
Get a fresh perspective on NH activism from a panel of people who’ve moved to New Hampshire within the last year – the New Movers Panel, hosted by new-mover-to-Peterborough, and author Dr. Tarrin Lupo. Panelists to be announced.
The Old School panel is back for Keenevention 2015! Free State Project early mover Denis Goddard has lived in New Hampshire since 2005 and has been heavily involved in the political scene. He served as Selectman in his town, is Emeritus Director of Research for the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance, and hosted a cable access show in Concord for years. He and his panel of experienced New Hampshire activists will share their perspectives on how we got to where we are on this year’s Old School Panel. Panelists to be announced.
Because of his dedication, he easily won the vote for Keene Activist of the Year for 2014, following in the footsteps of other awesome Keene activists like Derrick J Freeman and James Cleaveland.
I’m happy to announce that Darryl will be keynoting this year’s Keenevention, October 30th through November 1st. Tickets are available now for just $50 (or BTC) for the whole weekend! More speaker and panel announcements to come, so stay tuned here to the blog or to the facebook page or event for the latest.
Keenevention‘s closing keynote speech in 2014 was delivered by heroic cannabis activist Rich Paul, who faced down 100 years in prison by refusing the plea deal and taking his cannabis dealing charges to a jury. Sadly, he was convicted and spent about a year of his life in jail for standing for his principles. He’s out now and has been instrumental in forming a board of directors for the new NHJury.com. Here’s the video of his speech:
