Keenvention Vendor Area

Keenevention is an intimate event. That means the attendance is small in comparison to other conventions. It’s easy to meet nearly everyone who attends. Last year we had 120-130 attendees, about half were speakers at the event, a quarter were tickets paid in advance and a quarter were walk-ins. Given the size of the event space (the largest in Keene, to my knowledge), Keenevention can never be much more than 200-300 people, nor would I want it to be.

The intimate atmosphere is a real feature that the Free State Project‘s excellent yearly events don’t have due to their size. Liberty Forum has outgrown its large hotel space and is moving to the largest event space in NH, the Radisson in Manchester (March 5th-8th, 2015). Recent Liberty Forums have been attended by 500-800, I think. Porcfest is over 1500 attendees for the past couple of years. For possible event sponsors, that means Keenevention is an event with hundreds fewer attendees. What does that make it worth for a sponsor table? I have no idea, so I’d rather you decide:

Last year, as with this year, Porcupine Real Estate and FPP.CC are onboard as event sponsors and I’m grateful for their early-on support of Keenevention. Also, like last year, we’ll have some empty tables in the back, where if you are a Keenevention attendee, you can homestead for promoting/selling your product or service. Last year, attendee Kristin Alpert set up some of her homemade hand-knit winter caps, for instance. If you make anything off your wares, feel free to contribute some of your profits to Keenevention’s operating costs.
